Carnival band brings new business model

Resonate Carnival launched its first presentation A Cosmic Experience at the Residence, One Woodbrook Place, Woodbrook, Port-of-Spain, on Saturday. The group contains five sections: Aditi the Queen of the 5 Suns, Ayizan the Planet of Wonders, Katesh the Goddess of Sacred Love, O-Ry-Yah the Mother of the Universe and Ryu the Essence of Fluidity.

The new group’s owners say they have affordable costumes, with a space-age cosmic-themed experience that caters to 3,000 masqueraders. The strategy is to target young maskers and those who don’t have a gang at home.
