Carnival celebration successfully completes sea trials in the Baltic Sea

Officers, technicians and engineers tested Carnival Celebration’s technical, mechanical and navigational systems

Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Celebration, has successfully completed sea trials in the Baltic Sea.

Officers, technicians and engineers boarded the Carnival Party at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, to test the ship’s technical, mechanical and navigational systems.

“During her sea trials, Carnival Celebration underwent several tests aimed at determining the ship’s capability and performance,” said Captain Vincenzo Alcaras. “We did a lot of handling tests, such as stability tests, steering tests, speed tests and thruster tests. The ship performed wonderfully and we will soon take her out and begin sailing.”

Carnival Celebration will debut at the new port of PortMiami in Florida, USA, in November 2022 and will begin its inaugural season with a six-day voyage to the Eastern Caribbean. After that, the ship will sail year-round, on seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, calling on destinations such as San Juan in Puerto Rico, Cozumel in Mexico and Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
