I paid just $437 for my inside cabin on a 7 night cruise to Mexico on the Carnival Panorama. That fee included accommodation, entertainment, food and basic beverages such as water, juice, coffee and tea.
Through my past cruises, I have found that the staterooms provide the right amount of space that I personally need while paying the lowest fare possible to meet my budget.
My friend and I each spent $304 before taxes on our dedicated indoor cabins. After taxes and port charges, the cruise fee was $437. We also prepaid rewards for the week at a rate of $97.93.
Included in the rate were unlimited dining, except for specialty restaurants, all live entertainment and activities such as trivia, dance parties, water slides, mini golf and a ropes course. Rate does not include alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees or port excursion activities.
We also added the cost of a 2-day residential permit for $40 per person on this cruise, as we wanted access to the thermal sauna suites and a large spa tub.
For this particular cruise, I booked my cabin seven weeks in advance, so it’s quite possible to find great prices without much advance planning.
