On Saturday Ledbury Carnival Association started selling raffle tickets for their 2022 carnival on Monday 29th August.
Evie the Carnival Princess was in fine form chatting to residents and visitors alike and encouraging people to spend a £1 and buy a ticket.
The newly released carnival program was available free of charge.
Further advance ticket sales will be held every Saturday morning, before the carnival and at the information booth in front of the main stage on Carnival Day.
With a top prize of £100 cash and a selection of prizes donated by local businesses, a varied list of prizes will be up for grabs.
Ledbury Carnival are also looking for extra carers to help out on the day so if you would be willing to give an hour or two of your time to help it would be greatly appreciated.
Please contact Jill ([email protected]) if you would like further information or to volunteer.
Remember Road Closures will be in place from 08:00 to 18:00 in the City Center between the Top Cross junction and Bank Crescent and Bye Street at its junction with High Street and Street Street junction. A ‘rotary road’ closure will also be in place from 12pm until approximately 1pm as the parade travels from Ross Rugby Club
Road to the roundabout from Full Pitcher and turn left onto New Road at High Cross before going onto High Street. A second ‘mobile road’ closure will be in place at around 1pm when the procession will turn left onto Orchard Lane before returning to the Ledbury Primary School car park for participants to disembark.
Alternative routes are available using Hawk Rise at the main roundabout turning left into Malvern or right towards Gloucester and using Leadon Way at the main roundabout turning left into Hereford or right towards the Bromyard Road junction or following the roundabout to Tesco and up to Crescent Bank.
Carnival Association for any inconvenience this may cause, but everyone’s safety must be our primary concern.
