Amazon Prime Video’s September release list doesn’t include Season 2 of Carnival Row, and we’re wondering if we’ll ever get to see the next season. While we were hoping that the show would release in August, the month came and went but the show was nowhere to be seen.
The list for September is out, but the fantasy series doesn’t appear on it. We could imagine that September would not be the release month since there was no trailer in August. All eyes are still on the Carnival Row season 2 release date, and we expect it to launch this year.
Carnivals, Parades and Gambling: Tour the World’s Most Decadent Paradises
The pleasure is all mine
Take a tour of the world’s most decadent paradises that promise high spirits, street parades, adult entertainment and more. (Text: Shannon Tellis)Marijuana in Amsterdam
Did you know that you can’t smoke in Amsterdam cafes, but smoking marijuana is allowed? You can buy cannabis over any coffee counter, but only up to five grams. As it is not legal in the Netherlands, cafes cannot advertise and are only allowed to keep a maximum of 500 grams of cannabis on the premises at a time to avoid prosecution. When you ask, most shops will recommend a pre-rolled joint or point you to the best sellers on their weed menu.Adult entertainment in Bangkok
Said to be designated by law as an ‘entertainment zone’, Bangkok is home to Thailand’s most active nightlife such as Soi Cowboy, Soi Twilight Patpong and Nana Plaza with hundreds of clubs, ladyboy bars and short term hotels. Nana Entertainment Plaza – a three-story complex – boasts some of the best shows in the city and is rumored to be the largest adult playground in the world. While not strictly illegal, Thailand’s adult tourism industry is estimated at $6.4 billion in revenue annually, as of 2015. The operative word here is ‘adult’.Redundancy in Rio De Janeiro
The granddaddy of all carnivals, the Rio de Janeiro Carnival is the perfect opportunity to let your hair down and samba through 600 odd parties (or blocks) each year. Complete with loudspeakers, drink and food vendors, the blocks see thousands of tourists take to the streets to dance, parade and celebrate. If you prefer to watch, the main carnival parade at the Sambadrome is a sight to behold with elaborate costumes, giant floats and fleets of samba dancers from the favelas (local slums). Taking in more than $40 million annually, the carnival is the perfect place to be anyone or anything.Exhibitionism in New Orleans
The annual Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans are known for their pomp, color and beads. Over 1.4 million people flock to Bourbon Street each year to catch beads, stuffed animals and coins thrown from parade floats. Some brave tourists can even set fire to the spectators on the roof to earn more beads. Float riders are required by law to wear a mask, symbolizing relaxed inhibitions and allowing them to socialize with whomever they choose.Last season
Some reports suggest that Season 2 of Carnival Row will be the show’s last. Many massive groups in Prague have been brought down to earth and Season 2 could wrap up the show. The news is not a surprise as the wait has been very long for the upcoming season. Finishing the show is better than leaving it on a cliffhanger and canceling it.
