Now that we are entering the month of September, what can be said about one Carnival row season 2? Any premiere date news finally on the horizon?
There’s no denying that we’ve been waiting a long time for this show to come back. We know we’ve said this before, but it’s still worth noting that Cara Delevingne, in the time since this show ended, went and did an entire season Just murder in the building. That season is now streaming in its entirety on Hulu!
Now that we’ve spelled all that out, we think there’s some news Carnival row and the future must be imminent. We understand that the series has a significant post-production window, but still, we want to see at least a teaser for what’s coming next. Our feeling is that sometime between now and the end of October, we’ll get there at least SOMETHING on what is coming. We just don’t think Amazon will be entirely eager to rush anything.
If there’s one big reason for them to exercise patience, it’s now The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The fantasy epic has dominated much of their marketing over the past few weeks and will continue to do so until it airs. The plan now is to have it done when we get to around mid-October and at that point, it’s possible that a little more news might start trickling in there. Or, at least, that’s what we hope.
Another big question is whether there’s even a chance at a season 3 — after all, that long wait will probably make a renewal even more challenging.
