The Andover Carnival team held their AGM last night (September 15) as they reflected on a successful 2022 carnival and began planning for the 2023 carnival, but also presented a massive check to Andover Twenty1 for £3,300 was raised at this year’s carnival.
Andover Carnival is a non-profit organization of volunteers who enjoy turning entertainment into fundraising.
The team pulled off an amazing carnival that came back with a bang and was enjoyed by thousands. The carnival had chosen Andover Twenty1 as the charity to benefit from the fundraising event.
The purpose of Andover Twenty1 is to provide support for children with Down syndrome and their families, from birth through school. They want their members to reach their potential, both socially and academically.
One of the organizers of the event Kevin Rush told us “It was so amazing to be able to host the Carnival after such a long break and we were really touched to see so many from the community come and join us on the day. As always, the generosity of Andover once again allowed us to hand over a check to a local cause, knowing how much their cause will be worth.
“It was a great day and it showed us what a great place Andover really can be. Plans are already being made for bigger and better next year. If anyone wants to get involved then please email [email protected] for any information”.
