The city of Jacksonville is gearing up to host the annual Georgia-Florida football game on Saturday, October 29 at 3:30 pm at TIAA Bank Field, where the University of Georgia Bulldogs will take on the University of Florida Gators.
“The Georgia-Florida game is one of Jacksonville’s most anticipated events of the year. It’s an honor to welcome the Dawgs and Gators to Jacksonville for one of the biggest college football rivalry games in any program,” said Mayor Lenny Curry . . “I want to thank all the partners who help make this tradition possible: ASM Global, JSO, JFRD, JTA, as well as all the fans. You pour your heart and soul into this event and help it continue to thrive. as an annual weekend of fun, friends and good football”.
Duuuval’s Bold City Bash – the ultimate Georgia-Florida fan experience – kicked off this morning with the opening of RV City and will continue this Friday, October 28 with the annual Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon presented by Miller Electric Company. in the East Club at TIAA Bank Field, honoring Champ Bailey, Trey Burton, Andre Caldwell and John Little. On Friday night, the Georgia-Florida fall exhibition baseball game will be played at 121 Financial Ballpark with a fireworks display following the game. Saturday is game day starting with the Georgia-Florida Fan and Welcome Center presented by Publix Super Markets at Dream Finders Homes Flex Field at Daily’s Place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Stadium car parks will open on Saturday at 08:00 All stadium car parks are pre-sold and fans are encouraged to display their parking tag as they approach the stadium. TIAA Bank Field gates will open at 1:30 PM and kickoff will be at 3:30 PM Fans are encouraged to arrive at TIAA Bank Field early. All available gates will have magnetometers in place, enabling fans to pass through carrying clear bags, mobile phones and keys in their pockets. After entering, fans will then proceed to the new self-scanning ticket kiosks to scan their mobile tickets.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) will provide Gameday Xpress for the Georgia-Florida football game and will operate shuttle service from various locations throughout the city. The City of Jacksonville will host six Information and First Aid Zones presented by UF Health on Saturday from 12pm until 30 minutes after the football game. Information and First Aid Areas presented by UF Health provide an area where fans visiting the Sports Complex can find free assistance ranging from basic medical aid, first aid, cell phone chargers, transportation information, directions, water and more a lot. The Information and First Aid Areas presented by UF Health are all about making the Georgia-Florida experience as pleasant and safe as possible. Fans seeking help in the areas for themselves or their friends will not be subject to any legal action for alcohol issues. Information and First Aid Areas presented by UF Health will be at the following locations:
- Lot P – Veterans Memorial Wall
- Lot X – Service Road Entrance
- Babe Ruth statue
- VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, corner of APR & Duval Street
- Lot E – Outside RV City
- Met Park – Opposite the main gate
