CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Tigers will host UMass for a non-conference game on Monday, October 24th. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM with the match scheduled to be broadcast live on ACCNX.
The Tigers enter the game 8-5-1 after a 1-0 loss to No. 11 Louisville on the road. The Tigers are currently in fourth place in the ACC Atlantic Division while UMass (6-1-7) sits in fifth place in the A10.
Friday marks just the second meeting between the two programs. The lone game took place in 2018 and resulted in a 0-0 tie at UMass.
Tigers standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring five goals and dishing out five assists in just ten games so far. He has a point in seven of his 12 games played this season and is tied for fifth in the ACC in points per game (1.25).
He is joined atop Clemson’s scoring charts by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted on three of Sylla’s goals. He added three of his own and also picked up four points in two games, bringing his season total to ten. He is tied for third in assists in the conference with six assists.
UMass enters the match after a 1-1 tie against St. Bonaventure. Clemson is looking for its first win since Oct. 3 and is currently riding its first three-game losing streak since 2018.
