The director of the National Institute of Prisons and Prisons (INPEC) of Colombia, Daniel Fernando Gutiérrez, reported that in the midst of a rebellion of prisoners in the Tumaco prison, several officers of the guard were taken hostage. Local authorities are reacting to the situation.
“We regret to inform the public about a difficult situation that is currently occurring at the Tumaco facility. It appears that some inmates are rioting and want to escape; it appears that at that moment they are detaining one of our officials.” The director.
