Colombian Senate approves phased ban on bullfighting

The Colombian Senate passed a phased ban on cruel animal entertainment practices on Friday morning (16) local time.

The measure directly targets bullfighting, but excludes other practices such as cockfighting.

The draft law, approved by the Senate, requires entrepreneurs in this type of activity to gradually seek alternatives for their economic income during the next three years. . .
