What happens when three unique artists come together… MAGICAL

Color Conversation is a collaborative art exhibition by three friends – Michelle Boyd, Keith Ward and Michelle Tappin-Davis.

All three artists treat color, process and composition in a dynamically different way. adding their personal narrative to “Colour Conversations”.

“Brighter Days” by Keith Ward


Ward converses with color intuitively, allowing moods and themes to inform creative expressions and process in conversations with his paintings. Strong vivid colors are an integral part of his narrative.

Boyd describes her engagement with color as going beyond sensory, formal and technical properties. She further describes her process as the means to enable the contextualization of time and space, and as her emotional response to the unfolding drama of life.

Tappin-Davis uses the human form to create narratives in her work. Additionally, the interplay of complementary colors with their contrasting temperatures plays on the viewer’s emotions. The conversation within the paintings invites the viewer to join.

“Energy” by Michelle Boyd, is the embodiment of the Caribbean spirit…the warmth of the sun, the energy of the people as they party in a multicultural space.


“Colour Conversation” opened on Tuesday at the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago, 3-7 St Vincent Avenue, Federation Park, Port of Spain.

Gallery hours are daily from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

The exhibition ends on Saturday.







Shake off the dust

“Shake the dust off your feet when you leave” by Michelle Tappin-Davis. The Jews understood that shaking off the dust from one’s feet was a symbol of distancing oneself from the consequences of the wrong actions of others.
