What happens when three unique artists come together… MAGICAL
Color Conversation is a collaborative art exhibition by three friends – Michelle Boyd, Keith Ward and Michelle Tappin-Davis.
All three artists treat color, process and composition in a dynamically different way. adding their personal narrative to “Colour Conversations”.
Ward converses with color intuitively, allowing moods and themes to inform creative expressions and process in conversations with his paintings. Strong vivid colors are an integral part of his narrative.
Boyd describes her engagement with color as going beyond sensory, formal and technical properties. She further describes her process as the means to enable the contextualization of time and space, and as her emotional response to the unfolding drama of life.
Tappin-Davis uses the human form to create narratives in her work. Additionally, the interplay of complementary colors with their contrasting temperatures plays on the viewer’s emotions. The conversation within the paintings invites the viewer to join.
