CPL 2022: After securing the T20 cricket matches in the Caribbean Premier League, Barbados Royals registered a win against Saint Lucia Kings by 11 runs. It was the 6th match of CPL 2022 which started on 31 August 2022. The match was played at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis.

At the beginning of the matches, Saint Lucia Kings won and tossed and chose the field, which however does not play in favor of the team. Barbados Royals got off to a good start as they scored 49 runs in just five overs and one out. The brilliant performance sees them post a seven-wicket total of 162 and set the Kings target 163.

With the star batting first, the Royals make it difficult for the Kings to chase down the target as Kyle Mayers took two wickets and left them at four runs with two outs.

While delivering an unstoppable performance, Kyle Mayers took a double maiden in the second over and the Kings stood at 7/4. Kyle Mayers took the MVP honors for an all-round performance for the sixth match, which included 36 off 23 balls and four wickets in two overs.

The month-long CPL 2022 tournament will end on September 30, 2022 and the six teams are playing the matches. The first seven matches of CPL 2022 have been completed at Warner Park in St Kitts and Nevis in which two matches were abandoned due to heavy rain.

Further on the schedule, Jamaica Tallawahs, Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Royals emerged victorious in every match.

The six teams were named after Caribbean nations which are – Saint Lucia Kings, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Jamaica Tallawahs, Trinbago Knight Riders, Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors. Further, the eight matches will be played at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.

The next eight matches will be played at Queen’s Park, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The play-offs and finals will be played at the Guyana National Stadium.
