The 2022 Alpine Days celebration dazzled with a carnival, rodeo, parade and more as residents celebrated their town and its heritage.

The first Alpine Days, originally known as “Neighborhood Day”, took place in 1947 and consisted of a bazaar, food, games, entertainment and a miniature parade. Proceeds from Ward Day were used to purchase new shingles for the local rock church.

“The Second World War had recently ended; goods still scarce, but there was a need and the town came together,” reads the Alpine Days website.” An invitation to Ward Day, a homecoming, was sent to former residents and friends. It was successful and continued for 28 years, sponsored by the church to fund church projects and programs.”

Now, Alpine Days boasts many more modern events, but the mission of the citywide celebration remains the same – to bring residents together.
