Greece removes COVID testing for cruise visitors
After 18 months of strict COVID protocols, Greece has finally lifted testing for cruise guests, becoming one of the final destinations in Europe to do so.
A report by Seatrade News says that the Greek Ministry of Maritime Affairs confirmed that the National Public Health Committee is removing testing for guests boarding and visiting ports in Greece. Crew testing has also been eliminated.
Greece was one of the last countries in Europe to maintain strict protocols. The site still recommends that guests test before arriving.
Carnival Radiance on maiden voyage to Hawaii
Carnival radiation is on her first ever Hawaii cruise.
The ship departed the Long Beach Cruise Terminal last weekend for a 14-night cruise on Carnival Journeys.
After hitting the main islands in Hawaii, the ship will head to Ensenada, Mexico, before returning to Long Beach.
Before Carnival Victory, Radiation typically spends the season sailing short three- and four-night cruises from Long Beach to Catalina Island and Ensenada.
This cruise was previously scheduled for The miracle of carnivals until the line did a ship swap months ago.
New Statendam makes inaugural call at Port Canaveral
The Netherlands of America The new state made her inaugural call at Port Canaveral on Friday.
The vessel was on a repositioning cruise from the Canada/New England area to Port Everglades, where she will be homeported this winter.
Port Canaveral is home to a port of embarkation and a day stop for ships departing from the Northeast or on voyages from Europe.
