Wainaina shared the video of the burial proceedings on his YouTube channel, noting that bodies buried in public cemeteries are usually buried in metal coffins.

“They are buried on the same day. There is nothing above ground,” he explained, explaining why the graves had flat surfaces.

“We bury him in a metal casket and there’s a cement box inside. The box is what the casket goes into and no soil is supposed to touch that thing,” he said.

In the video he shared, there was a tractor that he said holds a very large seal that covers the casket, which holds the casket, and professional cemetery workers do the entire burial process.

After the body is placed in the cemetery, only a few family members and friends are allowed to throw sand on the grave, then the seal is lowered from the tractor to cover the cement box.

After that, sand brought in from another truck is poured to fill the grave before grass is placed on top to cover the burial site.
