Poet’s Day this Thursday (20) has a poetry workshop for the homeless and other free activities
E-book distribution, literary talks and the release of a poetry clip are among the activities
Poet’s Day is celebrated this Thursday (20) and the festivities run until the 25th. Producer Arte Faz Parte, Arte Educação e Negócios de Impacto Social promotes a program of free activities, starting with the distribution of the e-book of poems Marcos e Marcos by poets Victor Meirelles and Marcos Peu, which will feature the publication of a poetry clip of the work on the YouTube channel Arte Faz Parte Arte e Educação (https://bit.ly/3D8M6W7).

The Museum of Tomorrow, located in Praça Mauá, downtown Rio, will also host a poetry workshop for homeless people at the Uma Só Voz choir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The initiative carried out by the producer Arte Faz Parte is supported by the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
“This day is a tribute to the poet and the opportunity he gives other people to come into contact with poetry and poetry. Long live the poet,” says poet, actor and art educator Victor Meirelles.
Next Tuesday (25), it will also be in Ciep Clementina de Jesus, in Caxias, municipality of Rio de Janeiro, Papo Literário, where there will be a presentation and distribution of 30 copies of the book Marcos Marcos to the participating students with a moment autograph at the event.
“Poetry is a way for you to be generous with yourself by sharing art, life, experience, trajectory and being able to meet others through rhyme, intonation, reading and literature, so we promote these initiatives. so that more many people have this encounter with art”, says Victor Meirelles, one of the creators of the production company Arte Faz Parte.
