Tobago: The Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transport shared a complete list of 2022 achievements within the island’s culture sector on Friday, December 30, 2022, on its official Facebook account.
The list of Tobago’s achievements in the field of Culture in 2022 included:

- Hosted a Traditional Carnival installation including living museum, mixed media workshops and wire bending
- Partnered with TCL and TPAC to host ‘Carnival Tabanca’ series of activities
- The Tobago Performing Arts Company successfully embarked on a national tour to showcase Dr Lester Efebo Wilkinson’s Bitter Cassava
- Collaborated with other key entities for a Taste of Tobago Micro Market at Queen’s Hall, Trinidad, alongside the successful staging of TPAC’s theater production Bitter Cassava
- Worked with key players to successfully organize A Taste of Buccoo to ensure Easter
- Tuesday’s activities were held for Easter 2022
- Staged Junior Heritage School Caravan, Junior Heritage Exhibition, Little Miss Heritage Pageant, Junior Heritage Community Caravan, Junior Heritage Pageant, and Ah We Heritage on the Road caravan
- Successfully planned and executed the 2022 Tobago Heritage Festival within various communities across the island
- Facilitated a Grenada exchange mission through a unique partnership between Spicemas Grenada for the DoTCAT/Tobago Carnival Committee

– Independence Day Street Fair, Parade and Cultural Extravaganza
– Republic Day Cultural Showcase
– Tobago’s presence at the T&T Manufacturer’s Trade and Investment Convention (TIC) 2022 (TTMA): Center of Excellence, Trinidad.
Tobago Festivals Commission Limited successfully relaunched the Tobago Blue Food Festival in Bloody Bay and executed the inaugural Tobago Carnival and all associated events. They also tapped Tobago Creatives to lead Brand Development for the Inaugural Tobago Carnival.

The Division also provided financial support to community-based initiatives, local promoters and stakeholder entities (Pan Tribago, TUCO, Mas Bands & Cultural Groups) for the inaugural Tobago Carnival.
In addition, they collaborated in the execution of the United Nations Verified Program for the concretization of Covid-19 and tried through the use of traditional characters and the artistic form of the speech group. They successfully facilitated the organization of the 2022 preliminary matches of the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition and provided assistance to the Tobago finalists for the finals in Trinidad.
Notably, Tobago’s only Miss La Reine Rive entrant, Rochelle Frank, placed fourth overall and was awarded special prizes for best evening gown and hairstyle.
