Among the first to get his hands on the Wray & Nephew White “Parish Collection” proof rum, Duncan Chisholm has been inspired to start his own collection.

Chisholm took the opportunity to officially unveil the limited-time offering product inspired by Jamaica 60 at the Jamaica Rum Festival held recently at The Aqueduct in St James on 25 June.

The manager of the inn made it his mission to secure two bottles: St Elizabeth and St James, from the collection of 14 bottles.

Originally from St Elizabeth, the 29-year-old knew he had to have the design attributed to his home parish and as he currently resides in St James, Chisholm also purchased the Limited Time Offer (LTO) bottle for the parish which he did. second home.

“When I went to make my purchase, I originally wanted the full collection, but all but two parishes were available at the time, so I bought the two most important to me, but I’m still looking forward to collecting all 14 .” Chisholm explained.

With his eyes set on the full range of parishes, Chisholm shared his plans to keep his LTO purchases as the start of his rum collection “I’ll keep it and maybe proof it at 75% or something other,” he added.

As a businessman, Chisholm praised J Wray & Nephew Ltd’s initiative to mark Jamaica’s Diamond Jubilee with a capsule rum, “It’s a good tribute to him, so yes, it was a good idea,” he noted .

Now available in stores across the island, the Parish Collection is a commemorative, limited edition Wray & Nephew White Overproof rum.

The collection is part of the activities undertaken by the company to mark the 60th anniversary of Jamaica’s Independence.

In the bottle, it is a 70% alcohol by volume liquid that is aromatic, full of character and has a natural fruity aroma with hints of molasses.

Another distinctive feature of the ‘Parish Collection’ is the commemorative packaging featuring labels that pay homage to Jamaica’s fourteen parishes, each featuring a special landmark from each parish.
