The European Commission believes that Ecuador is not yet ready to benefit from the European Union (EU) visa-free regime, European Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson said this Tuesday (December 13, 2022).
“Significant progress has been made, but there are still important steps to be taken,” the authority said of Ecuador, which also noted that, according to the European Commission, neither Ecuador nor Oman “are ready for visa liberalization with EU” and therefore Brussels “has not yet proposed” that they benefit from this regime.
