Egg farmers hit by wave of break-ins and thefts

Some members of the Strata Farmers Association have experienced an increased wave of break-ins and thefts over the past two weeks on our farms. Food, chickens, water pipes, feeders and other equipment were stolen.

The police have been notified of this new increased and chronic situation of preedial robbery, which is having a serious negative impact on the development of the egg sector in Antigua and Barbuda.

The public is therefore asked to assist farmers by keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity or persons, particularly in the areas of Jonas Road, Sanderson’s, Glanvilles and up to Willikies.

Please contact Association president Emanuel Peters at 720-4149, and your esoteric the information will be forwarded to the investing police officer.
