Eight people suffered minor injuries while riding the carousel at the Venray fair on Monday evening. One had to go to the hospital for treatment, the municipality said, reports AD.
What exactly happened is unclear. All eight were on the Europe Flyer around 10:20 p.m. The swings go about 40 meters in the air and spin around.
The municipality said the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) will investigate what happened. Until then, the ride is closed.
The municipality urged others traveling and bystanders to come forward for aftercare if they needed it.
