The president of the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE), Alexandre de Moraes, has said that protests against the election results will be “fighted with the law” and those responsible will be punished.
“The elections have ended, the second round was democratic, the Stock Exchange has announced [Luiz Lula da Silva] the winner and he will take office on January 1, 2023,” said Moraes.
He warned that those who “criminally” do not accept the results “will be treated as criminals”.
He praised the “efficiency” of the electronic ballot boxes, noting that the election authorities had already certified the winning candidate three hours after the vote. . .
