Artificial intelligence can disrupt society: Paul said, “society will break down if artificial intelligence spreads,” adding that without content moderation no one knows what is true or false. Artificial intelligence can create realistic replicas of voices, images, text and video, and these can be done at scale for almost zero cost.
“So any bad actor can create any narrative and 99% of people won’t know it’s false,” Pal said. State actors, according to him, were the most formidable and greatest threat in the use of this technology.

Startups can’t help: While noting that many startups are trying to solve this issue, Pal said there is literally “Zero” chance that they will scale enough to address the problem.

He drew Musk’s attention to zkproofs ID and blockchain content authentication as a “huge solution” to stopping “deep criminals and state actors.” If your ID and content authentication is interoperable with other major platforms, this can be resolved quickly and without societal damage, he added.
