Elon Musk Is Gearing Up For New Changes On Twitter Including Rebooting Vine And Renaming Super Fellows As Subscriptions / Digital Information World

By now, we bet you are well aware of the fact that Elon Musk has taken Twitter by storm and is very eager to revamp the entire platform.

We have seen it reduce the workforce with many more surprises in store. But the latest news surrounds some exciting new features that could be rolling out later this month.

Let’s start with a recent survey carried out by the billionaire. He was recently seen using a poll to ask followers on the platform how they felt about bringing Vine back to the app. For those unfamiliar, this is another name for a precursor to the TikTok app. It was huge back then, but then in 2016, Twitter decided to call it quits and ditched it.

The post which was recently posted during the late hours of Sunday night saw the billionaire asking his fans how they felt about the move. Should it be resurrected or not? And so far, the response has been great. There are millions of votes coming in and about 70% of people who responded claim they want the app back.

Even the man with the most followers on the YouTube app, Mr. Beast gave his input and called out Musk for the move. He said that if he expected to do that and let it compete against TikTok as TikTok, well, it would be a funny situation.

On that note, Musk further asked what could actually be done to make it compete against TikTok. To this, he replied how videos should stay on the TikTok app because that’s where you should be.

Vine is used to allow users to add six-second long videos in short form format. But it didn’t take long for Twitter to buy the firm and it went on to attract a whopping 200 million users. Over time, she struggled and Twitter shut her down completely. The competition was simply too fierce. You have videos on apps like Snap, Instagram and Facebook and teenage users were very picky and picky about all of them.

So this seems to be the latest strategy of the billionaire who is really trying to make the effort to turn Twitter into a more profitable ordeal. It has already managed to secure a staggering $44 billion to buy the firm. It reportedly suffered a mega $493 million loss in 2021. And with long-term goals to turn it into a full-throttle super app, we have an idea where this could go.

So when can we expect to see the changes? Well, Vine could be rebooted and released before the end of the year. Yes, internal reports published by media outlet Axios claim that multiple sources have confirmed that Elon Musk has already given directives to engineers to start work on the project as soon as possible without delay.

The aim is to finish soon, but another source who spoke to Axios says that the decision requires a lot of work and that is why it is a fight and a race against time.

Another change we can expect to drop anytime soon is Twitter renaming its Super Fellows offering as Subscriptions. This would be another paid subscription for the most engaged followers of the platform.

The news comes to us thanks to the researcher of social networks Alessandro Paluzzi who went public through his Twitter status to shed light on the matter. We will keep you updated when this happens.
