Since Elon Musk bought Twitter, he has relied on a close group of advisers to help him restructure the company. According to a report from the Financial Times, one of the first things Elon Musk did after buying Twitter was to set up a secret war room at the company’s San Francisco headquarters. The goal – to turn Twitter into a profitable social media platform.
An employee told the Financial Times that Twitter is now running like a family company. After firing the company’s top executives and disbanding the board, Musk was installed as the company’s chief executive. Musk’s chamber of advisors includes mostly people he has known for a long time and trusts.
Who is advising Musk on the Twitter rexhig?
Jason Calacanis is one of the notable people, who has known Musk for a long time and is now part of Musk’s council of advisors. Sources within the company told the FT that Calacanis is listed as a contractor in Twitter’s employee directory. Calacanis is an investor and a podcaster who worked at Sequoia (a venture capital firm). When Elon Musk’s private conversations were made public as part of the legal process, many people mocked Calacanis for the way he was talking to Musk. “Board member, advisor, whatever. You have my sword. . . Put me in the game trainer! CEO of Twitter is my dream job,” his messages read. Several other messages read: “I can do whatever you want.”
David Sacks is another member of the ‘war room’, helping Musk come up with different ideas to monetize the app. He is also listed as a contractor in the employee directory. He works at venture capital firm Craft Ventures and his primary responsibility is advising Musk on product development. Sriram Krishnan’s name is the one that has been mentioned most often. He is currently a partner at venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, before which he worked at Twitter, Facebook, Snap and Microsoft. He will reportedly be more focused on developing the software changes needed to turn Twitter into the product Musk wants. Alex Spiro, who is a famous celebrity lawyer, is advising Musk on legal and political matters. Musk has asked Antonio Gracias for advice on financial matters. Antonio Gracias worked as a principal at Tesla before starting Valor Equity Partners, a private equity firm.
