Elon Musk’s Acquisition Of Twitter Made The App’s ‘Fake Account’ Issue Worse / Digital Information World

Billionaire Elon Musk’s initial attempts at account verification using blue ticks didn’t go as planned. In fact, it was a huge disaster. But that didn’t stop Musk from backing out of the idea.

In the past week, we saw Twitter enabling some of its users to pay $8 a month to get the Blue Premium subscription. This would provide them with verification that they are a member of Twitter Blue. But total chaos and absolute disaster resulted in the end. This forced Musk to temporarily put the offer on hold, and by the end of this week, we should see it back for others to take advantage of.

Musk promised to introduce changes after brands and public figures spoke out against the countless copycats that sprung up out of nowhere. It was almost like Twitter’s nightmare come to life, and Musk knew it wasn’t the start he had hoped for.

For now, November 29 it’s the date to watch out for, as that’s when Elon Musk will return to his Blue scheme.

So far, users have gotten a taste of what Musk is capable of and the damage that comes with it. We saw impersonators posing as Apple, Trump, Kanye West, Nintendo and more. And if that wasn’t enough, Musk’s own company Tesla was also benefiting from the platform.

Big names in the business world witnessed as stocks fell to new lows. There were several pharmaceutical companies that had to send statements to declare that anything they advertised on the platform had zero truth to it.

Now, pundits are calling out Elon Musk because they think he really turns the whole platform into a weird and confusing show. And the biggest irony is how Musk feared that Twitter had too many fake accounts, before his purchase. But after his assumption of power and poor decision making, the number of fake accounts has increased drastically and it is beyond shocking.

There are so many people in this world who can’t help but make fun of the billionaire doing what he’s doing and making the platform worse than it used to be. And what was even more shocking is how he mentioned this morning that he doesn’t want to be the CEO of any firm. Therefore, he is looking for someone who would look after his daily work, because he cannot do it all.
