The 2022 Essex County Free Summer Concert Series continues with the Latino Festival and House Music Festival.
“Our Free Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers who will take center stage on the grounds of our historic Essex County Park System. Roll up a blanket, enjoy the cool evening breeze and dance to the sounds of classical, rock and roll, jazz, big band, Latin and more,” Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. said.
The Latino Festival will be held Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28 from noon to 8:00 pm at the Essex County Monte Irvin Orange Park, located at South Harrison and South Center streets in Orange.
House Music Festival
The 12th Annual Weequahic Park House Music Festival with a Splash of Caribbean will take place on Saturday, September 10th from 11:00am to 8:00pm at Essex County Weequahic Park (Meeker Avenue Entrance).
This year, the House Music and Caribbean festivals have been combined into one. The lineup includes DJ Punch, T-Wise, Kevin Little, Evelyn Champagne King, Cee Cee Rodgers, Hippie Torrales, DJ Dan Dan, Basement Boys, Crystal Waters, Martin Gee and Joe Claussell. The festival is sponsored by the African American Caribbean Cultural Organization of Essex County.
Concerts are held in accessible locations. Persons requiring accommodations or special assistance are asked to call at least two weeks prior to the concert to notify staff of their needs.
