A woman made a complaint on Wednesday before the agents of the Hato Rey Oeste area, where she claimed that she was deceived about the purchase of a used Mercedes Benz vehicle, for which she had paid in March of this year.
According to Uniformada, the victim, a resident of Los Ingenieros urbanization in Hato Rey, claimed that on March 20, 2022, she gave the suspect a check from Banco Popular de Puerto Rico in the amount of $5,500 for the purchase of a Mercedes Benz..
After the payment, the individual did not deliver the vehicle or return the money to the complainant. The woman tried several times to communicate with him and was unable to contact him, so he concluded that he was the victim of fraud by the individual.
This incident was investigated by Agent Yadira Díaz, from the police area, who proceeded to refer the same to personnel from the property and fraud division of the CIC of San Juan, so that they could proceed with the relevant investigation.
