Evento Novembro Azul celebra o Dia Mundial do Diabetes

Next Monday, November 14, at 8:00 p.m., at the Ribalta Show, another edition of the Blue November event will take place, within the framework of World Diabetes Day. World Diabetes Day was established on 14 November 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) together with the World Health Organization (WHO); to make the world aware of the impact of diabetes on population health and mortality.

The event is an initiative of the Brazilian Diabetes Association and the Brazilian Endocrinology Association. Conceived by the vice president of SBD, Dr. Solange Travassos and by actress and producer, Simone Soares, The Blue November is in its sixth edition and aims to bring art to music for the benefit of a worldwide cause. This year, the event relies on the head-to-head return of doctors and guests, with a tribute to the personalities and characters who have always supported the campaign and its goals.

“For 6 years we have been celebrating World Diabetes Day with music and information. This year we will honor some outstanding people. It will be a night of tributes, information and a lot of emotions, which will end with a performance by Guilherme Arantes”, says Simone Soares.

The latest data show that 1/3 (one third) of the world’s population is unaware that they suffer from diabetes. Some of the objectives of the World Diabetes Day campaign are to raise awareness of the disease’s impact on the planet, encourage public policies that favor and enable people with the disease to live longer and better lives, promote early diagnosis and provide guidance for proper treatment. .

The activity is attended by Dr. Diannah Santini, Dr. Marcio Krakauer and Dr. Solange Travassos.

Blue November will be broadcast live on the SBD channel of to YouTube and no YOUR www.diabetesplay.com.br. The program is presented by Simone Soares, who is the executive producer of the event, with artistic direction by Mario Meirelles and content supervision by Dr. Dianna Santini.
