Carnival goers will be able to sail on Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Sea from February 16 to 22. The ship will act as a hotel for travelers and will sail from Barbados to Trinidad and travelers will have the opportunity to experience the carnival.
The experience was told by Trinidadian Jonathan Mack, who now lives in Hawaii.
Mack tells Loop News he was inspired to start Epic Carnival Experience after his wedding in 2014. He was born on Carnival Monday and is dedicated to promoting Trinidadian culture on a global scale.
“I brought 50 people from all over the world, USA, Israel, Europe, the whole world to experience the carnival. I got married on the Saturday after Carnival in Tobago. Trying to accommodate 50 people in hotels, Airbnb and what not was a nightmare, managing transport for 50 people was also horrendous, on top of which maneuvering through the carnival to get tickets for parties, events and costumes was a nightmare its logistical, so i said hell. we have to find a way to accommodate that,” Mack says Cycle news.
It was also inspired by the Jamrock Reggae Cruise, which is also held on a Royal Caribbean ship.
