This week, you can take in a free concert with the US Air Force Concert Band at The Fox, a three-day quilt show or the Great Pumpkin Race and Family Carnival.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Ready for more fall events while enjoying the warm weather in the Inland Northwest?

The forecast for Friday is in the 70s and will remain mostly sunny. Saturday and Sunday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the mid-70s both days. A warm slam dunk prediction for sure!

Some of the events you can attend this week include MultiCare’s Bridge to Brunch 5K, a free concert with the US Air Force Concert Band at The Fox, a three-day quilt show and a Grand Race and Family Carnival with Pumpkin.

Here is the list of events taking place this week:

MultiCare Bridge to Branch 5k

Bring your family and friends and join MultiCare’s sixth annual Bridge to Brunch 5K, taking place Saturday, October 15 at 9 a.m. in Spokane.

Runners will receive beanies and waffles after completing their run. Enjoy fun vendors, live music and a mimosa tent.

Children 4 and under enter the free run. Youth ages 5-17 pay $10, and adults 18 and older pay $35. Click here to register.

The run will take place at the Washington State University (WSU) Campus Green Parking Lot #5, located at 222 E Spokane Falls Blvd, at
Spokane.

Proceeds will benefit the Inland Northwest (INW) MultiCare Foundation, focused on Behavioral Health.


Singing Sergeants at The Fox

Enjoy a free concert with the US Air Force Concert Band and Sergeant Majors in the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox on Sunday, October 16.

The U.S. Air Force Concert Band and Sergeant Sergeants Major are two of the six performing ensembles within the U.S. Air Force Band.

The concert is free, but you must register to get tickets. The Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox is at 1001 W Sprague Ave.


WSQ Quilt Show Extravaganza 22

The Washington State Quilters (WSQ) Extravaganza ’22 show will take place October 14-16 at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center.

The three-day quilt show will feature over 600 quilts from more than 200 local and regional quilters. Featured works include the most important quilt 114″ x 114″ feet long and the smallest quilt 10″ x 12″.

The expo runs from 10am to 6pm at the Spokane County Fair and Exposition Center, located at 404 N Havana St. in the Spokane Valley. Admission is $10, children 10 and under get in free.


The Great Pumpkin Race and Family Carnivals

Bring your family and friends and take your little pumpkins to Riverfront Park for the Great Pumpkin Race and Family Carnival.

Dress up in costumes, make and decorate your own pumpkin race car and feel the thrill of competing in the Great Pumpkin Race or trick or treating at the vendor fair.

Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. and there will be free reusable bags for the first 100 runners. Races start at noon.

The competitions will be organized by the following age groups:

  • Age groups 1-5 years
  • Age groups 6-10 years
  • Age groups 11-15 and over 16 years old.

The Great Pumpkin Race and Family Carnival is hosted by Meals on Wheels and the event will take place on Saturday, October 15th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Riverfront Park, located at 507 North Howard Street, in Spokane. Click here to register.


Fright Nights at Scarywood Theme Park returns for the spooky season.

Scarywood tickets are available online only. Tickets purchased at least one day in advance receive an $8 discount. Tickets will not be available at the gate. Parking is not included in the ticket fee and will be $10 per vehicle.

Scarywood will only be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until October 29. During the rest of the week, the park will be Silverwood.

Scarywood is not recommended for children 13 and under, but it is up to the parent/guardian to allow their child to go to Scarywood. The park will be open even in the rain.
