A family who own amusement rides are delighted that a carnival was held in Churchill Park as part of the Constitution Day celebrations.
This is as the event has allowed small businesses to bring back the park’s attractions to Fijians after a gap of two years.
Falak Faliha says they are happy to finally see travel going as this is their family business.
“This is my grandfather’s stall, he started this business for us and now he has passed away and only 5-6 months have passed. This is our family income that we are working with.”
Faliha says it is good to see many families in numbers today.
She hopes to hold more festivals so they can earn money for them.
A carnival atmosphere was created outside Churchill Park, with a flea market set up consisting of stalls, amusement rides and food stalls.
This will continue until Saturday.
