The gala night brought together journalists, artists, social media, influencers, opinion makers and entrepreneurs at the Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort

On the night of November 14, at the premises of the Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort, the AIB 2022 Trophy, Motions and AIB Merit Commendation ceremony took place.

Associação da Imprensa do Brasil – AIB had the honor of bringing together, in the same space, personalities from different segments that distinguished themselves in 2022, from journalism, culture, art, entertainment and the business market.

The ceremony, which had 200 guests, was also attended by Tony Ramos, Fábio Porchat, Felipe Neto, Taís Araújo and Lázaro Ramos.

The party night was rocked by the sounds of the Portuguese DJ.

AIB Press Trophy 2022

Opening the event, actor, presenter and comedian Fábio Porchat was delighted to receive the trophy for the program ‘Que História É Essa, Porchat?’, chosen by the AIB Judging Committee as the best program of the year. He joked with the guests, thanked them and spoke briefly about the attraction.

Felipe Neto, chosen by the people’s vote, the best Youtuber of the year, went personally to receive the AIB Trophy, accompanied by his team, who, visibly moved, thanked the public for everything he had achieved. He recorded everything and made many posts on his social networks.

The film “Provisional Measure” chosen as the best film of the year by the AIB Judicial Committee, was represented by Lázaro Ramos, director of the work, accompanied by his wife, the actress Taís Araújo, protagonist of the feature film. Upon receiving the AIB trophy, Lázaro spoke in his speech about all the mishaps he encountered while doing the work and how the press helped him to complete this production.

Tony Ramos was awarded the AIB Trophy for his work. Happy and emotional throughout the event, accompanied by his wife, he spoke briefly about his career and announced that he will soon appear in an Original Globoplay series, giving life to the bicheiro Madurão in “Encantados”.

Fernanda Montenegro received the trophy for her work. She was represented at the ceremony by actor and friend Tony Ramos. Fernanda Montenegro is in an accelerated pace of shooting the film “Dona Vitória”, the work of which was interrupted after the tragic death of the director Breno Silveira and recently resumed under the command of Andrucha Waddington.

Gilberto Gil, who participated in the Bahia Book Biennale, sent a video as a sign of thanks. He was awarded the AIB Trophy for his career.

Mateus Solano (Best Actor), Isabel Teixeira (Best Actress) who won by popular vote sent videos to be shown at the ceremony, as well as Fernanda Montenegro and Gilberto who were honored for their trajectory.

Maju Coutinho (Best Journalist of the Year), Marcos Mion (Best Presenter) and Juliette (Best Influencer), chosen by popular vote, did not attend the event and did not send representatives.

The event paid tribute to the ABL – Academia Brasileira de Letras for its 125 years. The institution was represented by Arnaldo Niskier, who chaired the Academia Brasileira de Letras in 1998 and 1999 and is the seventh occupant of Chair no. 18.

AIB Order of Commendation of Merit

or The “Ordem do Mérito AIB” award, the institution’s highest honor, went to Dr. Manoel Valente Figueiredo Neto, jurist, lawyer, professor, writer, speaker and journalist, who spoke about the importance of books in his academic and professional life and his trajectory.

The “AIB Press Trophy” is an award that was created by the Brazilian Press Association – AIB with the main purpose of encouraging, evaluating and considering the best journalistic works published, broadcast and available in various existing media, as well as stimulating professionals. communication, entertainment and businessmen who excel in their fields of activity during the year to contribute to our society.

The Barra da Tijuca Press Association has been holding the award since 2005. The first edition was conceived as a pilot experience, with only works from the print media. In subsequent editions, AIB incorporated journalistic works produced in various media, such as: radio, TV and Internet, and began to honor those who excel in culture, entertainment, the business market, among others.
