Fans Pissed With BCCI For Cold Shouldering Their Genuine Request Ahead Of T20I Series

Indian captain Rohit Sharma and others members of the T20 squad have arrived in Trinidad and Tobago ahead of the five-match series, which begins on July 29.

The official BCCI Twitter handle posted a video on its handle of the players being warmly welcomed by their teammates and support staff at the hotel lobby.

Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin and all the other senior members who were given a break from the ODI series were part of the video but there was no sign of vice-captain KL Rahul.

of BCCI President Sourav Ganguly they had confirmed this news but since then there has been no official communication from their side.

They were desperate to know how he was coping with the virus and whether he will be available for the upcoming T20 series against West Indies or not. If not, then how long would it be away from the action.

These were some of the questions his fans demanded an answer to, but the Indian cricket board turned a blind eye to their persistent demands.

BCCI wanted to give KL Rahul enough time to recover from the coronavirus, hence did not share any updates in the last few days.

But now that he is not part of the T20I squad that was assembled in Trinidad, the board should have officially communicated the same to the fans.

Another thing that angered the fans was that the series opener is just a few days away but the selectors are yet to name Rahul’s replacement.
