In a mock town hall video that has been viewed by a quarter of a million people, Bryant addressed Black Panther fans, saying, “You may remember our last homecoming weekend was in 2018. … As I recall, those from the diaspora showed up in full form and full galas for the events. … The outfits for the official day and official Homecoming weekend in Wakanda will be all white. All white. This especially as we travel to the box office and theaters. We’re dressing in honor of those who came before us – for the ancestors.”
“Whether it’s African wear, general wear – whether you dress up or dress down – we’d do it, you get on with it,” he concluded. “Get dressed everyone. You all know how we do.”
