O Movies on the beach is back on the schedule of the Rio 2022 Festival. One of the biggest hits from previous editions of the festival, open cinema takes place from 14 to 16 October, in Copacabana Beach, in front of Lido square. The event, which is sponsored by Shell Brasil and supported by the City of Rio, offers a program for the whole family, outdoors, with free entry and free censorship in the sessions at 18:30 and 20:00. It is to take the yoke and enjoy this typical carioca program. With Cinema na Praia, the Festival occupies open spaces in the city with the seventh art, in addition to rooms, and contributes to the cultural recovery of public spaces, in a more accessible way.
The selection of children’s films includes “Turma da Mônica- Laços”, “Frozen – Uma Aventura Congelante” and “Pluft, o Fantasminha”. On Friday, before the screening of the film “2 Filhos de Francisco”, there will be a tribute to the director Breno Silveira, director of the film, who died this year, with the presence of his widow and daughters.
The Rio Film Festival takes place from October 6 to 16 in several cinemas in the city.
