SUMMIT, NJ – In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month this September, Summit will hold its annual Fiesta Latina on the Village Green this year.
Hosted by the Summit Community Programs Department, Fiesta Latina will be held on Friday, September 16th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the Village Green at 356 Broad Street.
All citizens are invited to attend the free community event to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which technically begins on September 15th. This date is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for the Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
Attendees can enjoy music and dance performances, Latin food trucks and cultural demonstrations at Fiesta Latina.
From 18:15 to 19:15 there will be dance and cultural demonstrations by various local groups, and from 19:15 to 20:45 a band will perform on the main stage, playing music from Latin and South America.
Community and cultural groups should contact David Guida at [email protected] or 908-277-2932 to register to host a table at the event or to become a sponsor.
