Consultancy Fitch Solutions predicts that Angola’s national currency will buck the trend of appreciation against the dollar and fall from 451 to 470 kwanza to the dollar by the end of the year, depreciating by another 7.3% next year.
“We expect the kwanza to depreciate slightly in the rest of the year to 470 kwanza to the dollar, after the appreciation in 2021 and through the second quarter of 2022,” wrote analysts at this consultancy owned by the same owners of the Fitch rating agency. .
