BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Five players from the Alabama football team were named to the Southeastern Conference preseason watch list, the league office announced Wednesday. goalkeeper, McKinley Croneforward Riley Mattingly Parker AND Riley Tannermidfielder Felicia Knoxand midfielder and defender Reyna Reyes earned the preseason nod.
Reyes earned her third preseason watch list mention after Parker and Knox were named to the SEC preseason watch list for the second time.
On the watch list
Reyna Reyes
- Earned 2021 United Soccer Coaches First Team and First Team All-SEC
- Ranked second on the team in game-winning goals, scoring the go-ahead goal against Jacksonville State and then-No. 24 LSU
- Played and started in 20 games, missing two to compete with the Mexican National Team
McKinley Crone
- Recorded six shutouts on the year, ranking fourth all-time in single-season shutouts
- Ranks ninth all-time in career saves (148) and tied for fifth all-time in career shutouts (11)
- 71 receptions were tallied during the 2021 campaign
Felicia Knox
- Tied for first on team in assists (3) and tied for third on team in points (9) in 2021
- Scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime game against Southern Miss
- Paced the team in hitting, shooting 43 last season
Riley Mattingly Parker
- Missed the 2021 season due to injury
- Earned second-team All-SEC honors for the 2020-21 season
- Despite playing just nine games during the 2020-21 season, she recorded five points, two goals and one assist.
Riley Tanner
- Led the team in game-winning goals with three
- Ranks sixth all-time in program history for single-season game-winning goals
- Tied for first on team in assists (3) and third on team in goals (3) last year
