Following a presidential intervention, the last two T20Is between India and West Indies will go ahead as scheduled in Florida after the US granted visas to the two teams. The five-match series is led by India 2-1 with the last two matches to be played at the weekend in Florida, United States. Earlier both teams flew to Georgetown, Guyana from St Kitts where the teams played the second and third T20Is. Moreover, it took an intervention from Guyanese president Irfaan Ali to expedite the paperwork, which was delayed earlier forcing Cricket West Indies (CWI) to rethink the consistency of the last two matches.

Earlier, the T20 series was hit hard by logistical challenges with the second T20I postponed by three hours. It all started when both the teams’ luggage got delayed forcing CWI to reveal the new timings of the second T20I, not once but twice.
Earlier, CWI had issued a statement, saying that the start of the second T20I has been postponed by two hours, from 10:30 am local time (8 pm IST) to 12:30 pm local time (10:30 pm IST and 11:30 a.m. Jamaica time). only to find that the game has been pushed back an hour.
The CWI had cited significant delays in the team’s important luggage arriving in St Kitts from Trinidad as the reason for the postponement of the match. “Due to circumstances beyond CWI’s control, there have been significant delays in the team’s important baggage arriving in St Kitts from Trinidad.”
