Foreigners invest US$450 million in B3 stock exchange after first round of voting, largest inflow since Aug. 19

Foreign investors invested BRL 2.38 billion (USD 450 million) in B3’s secondary segment (already listed shares) on Monday, October 3rd.

Ibovespa rose 5.54% in this session, as the market reacted positively to Jair Bolsonaro’s increased chances of victory.

This is the most significant inflow of foreign capital into the stock market since August 19, when $2.78 billion ($450 million) poured in.

This brought the category’s net income to $72.44 billion. In September, the balance was negative at R$91.5 million.
