Fun Awaits At Queen of Martyrs Fall Carnival: What You Need To Know

EVERGREEN PARK, IL – Enjoy the splendor of fall when the Queen of Martyrs Parish Carnival makes its triumphant return to Evergreen Park. The 2022 edition of Martyrs Fest takes place from Friday to Sunday, September 23, September 24 and September 25. MartyrsFest is the parish’s main fundraiser of the year, so come hungry, thirsty and ready to play some raffles or ride some rides.

Free rides will be offered to friends with special needs and a companion from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, September 25, courtesy of Alpine Amusements and the Martyrs Fest committee. The carnival will be closed to the public for the first hour, with no lights, music or other stimuli for those with sensory sensitivities. Immediately following, free pizza provided by Barraco’s will be served in the beer garden.

Queen of Martyrs Church, 10233 S. Central Park Ave., Evergreen Park

Hours:

From 5pm to midnight on Friday, September 23
Noon to midnight Saturday, September 24
Noon to 9pm Sunday, September 25

REGARDING

Tours close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday; 8pm Sunday Rides and games provided by Alpine Amusements. Rides will be located in the parking lot of St. Louis Avenue.

Mega Pass

Mega passes for the entire weekend of carnival fun are $50 if you pay by cash or check (made payable to Queen of Martyrs); $53 if you pay by debit/credit card or GiveCentral by September 21st. After that date, add $10.

Mega cards will be sold in the parish gym from 6pm to 8pm on September 20th.

Driving wristbands

Wristbands will be available for unlimited rides from noon to 4pm on Saturday, September 24; and Sunday, September 25, from 1 to 5 p.m., for $30.

Lotteries

The top prize is $10,000 cash, with additional cash prizes of $2,500, $1,500, two $1,000 prizes and five $500 prizes.

Tickets are $50 each, or three for $125, or five for $200.

The winners will be drawn at 21:00, Sunday, September 25, at the close of the festival. Prize amounts are based on 1,000 tickets sold.
