Representative Jorge ‘Georgie’ Navarro claimed on RADIO ISLA that there are rumors of more arrests by federal authorities against the new mayors.
Although Navarro did not specify who they are, he stated that they are members of the New Progressive Party (PNP) and the People’s Democratic Party (PPD).
“They are new to politics, they don’t have one. They are in their first term as public officials,” Navarro said.
Their expressions arise after it was revealed that former governor Wanda Vázquez Garced and two other people were arrested in the early hours of Thursday by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
