News Americas, New York, NY, 22 August 2024: Legendary heavyweight champion and cannabis entrepreneur Mike Tyson has launched a new line of cannabis rubber through his company, Tyson 2.0. The gummies, shaped like boxing gloves, are the latest addition to his product line, following the success of his ear-shaped gum introduced in 2022—a nod to his infamous 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield.
The new “Knockout Gummies” made their debut in Colorado on Tuesday, after Tyson’s ear-shaped gummies were banned in the state due to cannabis regulations that prohibit gummies that resemble humans or animals. Tyson expressed its excitement in a statement, saying, “These knockout tires represent another step in our mission to make plant-based wellness accessible to everyone.”
Adam Wilks, CEO of Carma HoldCo, the parent company of Tyson 2.0, emphasized the symbolism behind the new design, stating that the shape of the boxing gloves reflects Tyson’s legendary career and his continuing influence on the sport. The gummies also celebrate Tyson’s upcoming fight against YouTuber Jake Paul, scheduled for November.
Tyson 2.0, launched in 2021, has quickly become a global cannabis brand with a presence in 16 countries. The company continues to expand, with product lines that include cannabis seeds, clothing and accessories. In Colorado, the new boxing glove tires are available at select dispensaries and a “Knockout Giveaway Contest” will run through September 30, offering customers the chance to win exclusive Tyson memorabilia.
