Guinean government threatens to ban travel to those who do not register

The director general of Guinea’s Office of Technical Support for the Electoral Process (GTAPE), Gabriel Djibril Baldé, warned that citizens who do not register could be prevented from traveling, which lawyer Horta Na Doa says is not provided for by law.

The director of GTAPE justified the measure that will be taken in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, which supervises the police, will be implemented after a month of electoral registration started on the 10th.
