India will score their 75thth Independence Day on August 15, 2022. On this occasion, the Government of India has declared the holiday of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which marks the celebration of 75 years of India’s independence from foreign rule. And the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is part of the Independence Day celebration this year.
The initiative encourages people across India to hoist the national flag to raise awareness about the importance of India’s national flag. The campaign was launched on July 22, 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have mass participation of citizens in this event.
People across India should change their profile pictures on social media platforms to show their participation in the event.
Current amendments to the Indian flag code allow the national flag to be hoisted day and night. Changing the previous rules about not keeping it between sunrise and sunset was reversed.
This new set of rules also includes raising the tricolor in public, private or any educational institution to show the importance of the national flag.
