Help keep FDR Park clean with Drexel’s Climate and Sustainability
Join United By Blue on September 24th from 10am to 1pm for a fun-filled community event volunteering to clean up your local waterway. The focus of the day will be cleaning up trash and debris from Philadelphia’s FDR Park waterfront, including removing large items such as tires and abandoned household furniture or small items such as pesky microplastics and food packaging. The purpose of this event is to stop debris from flowing or physically entering the watershed, which in this case includes both of Philadelphia’s rivers: the Delaware River and the Schuylkill River. All cleanup participants will receive a sustainably made gift and free heavy duty snacks at the cleanup to show appreciation for their volunteerism. For registration or more information on the event, visit the United By Blue event page. Contact Climate & Sustainability with questions or concerns.
