Heritage Festival Time In Downtown Lufkin, Texas

All kinds of local East Texas performers and local dancers will fill downtown Lufkin at the Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Join the festival from 2 to 8 p.m.

There will be many regional food trucks to choose from at the festival featuring food from all over. The weather will be perfect to be outside and enjoy the festival.

This event is a whole lot of atmosphere and one of the coolest events that happens every year in downtown Lufkin. There’s free parking and free entry, so you can bring the whole family out and have a great afternoon.

You can pick up something handmade from some of the unique artisan vendors. There will be a variety of cultural creations from shows and fairs across the state.

Expect to find pottery, handmade crafts, jewelry, oil, watercolor, and acrylic art all there for sale. There will be hands-on exhibits from African-American, Asian, Latin American and many other cultures.

Children’s activities will start at 14:00 and continue until 18:00. Starting at 6:00 p.m., there will be live music from the Los Del Chicos 512 Selena Experience Concert.

Before Los Del Chicos’ performance, there will be a Selena lookalike contest at 5 p.m. Watch as the winner was chosen from four different age groups.

Discover what Lufkin is all about by experiencing all the different cultures of our city. This event is a great combined effort by Visit Lufkin, the Angelina Arts Alliance, the Museum of East Texas, the City of Lufkin Parks and Recreation, and their many community partners.
