From Brazil to the world! Brazilian hero Capitão RED, created by cartoonist and actor Elyan Lopes, gained international visibility and will be released under his own title, available in foreign countries. Red Dragon Publisher, which works with the licensing of books, comics and graphic novels from Brazil, Italy and the United States, signed a partnership with the author to export the military superhero to countries such as the United States, Canada, Poland, Russia, South. Korea, China, India, Australia and New Zealand.

“For me, this news is much more than the realization of a dream. It’s a great gift, as Captain RED ends in 2022, ten years from its debut. I hope that this initiative of Red Dragon Publisher in partnership with the label MeuHerói Entretenimento will ensure many more Brazilian superheroes to be presented and published in foreign countries,” celebrates Lopes.
Captain RED is a creation of Elyan Lopes (scripts), A-Lima (art) and Gil Santos (colors) and HQ reproduces the same story that was independently published by the author in 2012 and republished nationally by Editora Kimera in 2016 In it, officer Ellano appears as the leader of an elite special force to fight crime that has taken over the streets of Rio de Janeiro. For this, he has special equipment, such as battle armor, a shield attached to his body, and a motorcycle for transportation.
The magazine also contains a short story titled David’s prologue, featuring a young delinquent who finds his inspiration for life in the superhero. “The expectation is that the title will be very successful and will be the first step in opening the doors for others to come in the same way,” says Alex Magno, editor of Red Dragon Publisher. The Captain RED magazine is already being announced on the Red Dragon website and pre-orders should be available soon.
